Kara and I worked hands on to find meals that worked well around her busy schedules. We also found winning options on menus that she knew could be her ‘go to meals’ when schedules would change without warning.
- Kara’s symptoms of PCOS made it a struggle to lose weight.
Important factors were selecting foods that did not trigger the PCOS. Medications for her PCOS added to water retention and bloating. Increased her water intake was crucial. Added cravings that came with PCOS were sweets. We tailored sweet meals that had less sugars to attack these cravings.
Kara learned that the key to any journey was “failing forward”. As she takes two steps forward, falling down one —as long as she got right back up—she was still a step ahead.
This broke her fear of failing and her search for perfection.
