Krystal: Breaking Diet Barriers
Location: USA
298 - 267 LBS
9 Weeks
· Hectic Schedules
· Unhealthy Lifestyle
When Krystal approached me for Hands on Guidance she had been burned by multiple “online coaches” with false promises.
At 298 lbs she was “sick and tired” but was a skeptic that any “online coaching” could help her.
Stepping Away from "Cookie Cutter" Plans
With many years of continued weight gain, Krystal did not even realize how heavy she had become. An environment with the heavy foods that are prevalent ‘Texan diet’ did not help her cause and she decided to start with “cookie cutter diets”.
She lost weight but the yo-yo lifestyle from this soon followed leaving her just under 300 lbs.
The Solution
- Changing work schedules made it extremely difficult for Krystal to plan.
We worked to find 3-4 ingredient recipes that took away overthinking.
- Letting go of control and trusting the process was hard because of past failures.
As she saw consistency from the communication along with positive results she began to trust the process.
- Home and family environment left her with an easy outlet to soothe her emotions with food.
The more optimal choices Krystal made in these times, the emotional eating holds lessened. She had to accept that this was more than a scale number but shattering deep-rooted habits.
