· Unhealthy Life Choices
As a young single mother of two, Mary was in the worst shape of her life. She weighted 182lbs, just over 5 feet tall and PCOS.
The amount of self-neglect that incurred over the years only added to her physical and emotional problems.
Today Mary has found optimal health at 153 lbs!
PCOS and Challenging Schedules
Mary for many years would eat her emotions and eat her stress. She felt that was the only safe place and after all, it wasn’t affecting anyone else. What she ended up learning is that not only does this effect her future, it affects the way she is able to add value to others that rely on her.
The Solution
- Mary’s meals and timing were set around her kids schedules and the resources didn’t help her PCOS. Together we crafted meals that her children enjoyed that were not time consuming with a plethora of options combatting her PCOS
- As a single mom budget was a challenge. She feared that she had to eat ‘organic’ or spend a lot of money to lose weight. She learned that ‘organic’ does not magically make anyone healthy, nor do half of the mass marketed weight loss products. Being extremely mindful of the client’s limited budget, we actually saved money.
- Self neglect was all that she knew for much of her adult life. Mary learned that is it okay to say no, and to put herself first. She learned that her health affects not just her state of mind but her capacity to give to those who rely greatly on her.
