Spiralling Addiction To Food
For as long as Melissa could remember, she struggled with food additions resulting in obesity.
She had tried “everything” and ‘nothing ever seemed to work for her’.
The Solution
- She was fearful of weight gain when it came to carbs being the enemy. We set up high volume meals that kept her hunger levels in check, and by strategically increasing carbs as she continued to lose weight gave her confidence in trusting the process.
- Her weekends were a constant downfall when it came to lacking self control and having an atmosphere that only enabled that.
Strategically setting up her weekends so she didn’t feel like she was on a structured plan helped break the weekend sabotage. - Emotional Eating was her way to cope with not seeing the “right number on the scale”.
The Emotional Support and Accountability brought a perspective of this: If numbers is the only thing she’s doing this for she will never be satisfied and this created a safe guard against allowing one number to spiral into emotional eating.
