Location: USA
199 - 176 LBS
16 Weeks
· Yo-Yo- Dieting
· Unhealthy Choices
Just under 200lbs, Pattie was seeking a plan that not only gave her sustainable results but changed her habits through the process.
She lost 23 lbs and broke the constant yo-yo cycle habit.
Diet Pills and Self Neglect
With a family history of obesity, Pattie found herself in an environment that made it easy to be unhealthy.
Between social gatherings and self neglect as a mother her weight was a constant struggle.
The Solution
- Her love relationship was flourishing; however they were aiding each other in unhealthy choices.
Creating a plan that both her and her significant other could follow together created accountability that turned unhealthy choices to healthy ones.
- Pattie thought that diet pills prescribed by her doctor were the only way to lose weight.
She had some minor success before reaching out for Hands on Guidance. Together we broke the stereotype and fear of stopping the weight loss pills (metformin). We proved that there is no shortcut that will ever be sustained when it comes to weight loss.
- Self neglect was prevalent as she put others first before herself.
She realized that taking care of herself made her an even better support to others. This realization fueled sustainable lifestyle change for Pattie!
