Guilt and Shame leading to Emotional Eating
Type 2 Diabetes had been a constant problem for Zalma. She carried guilt and shame for allowing her health to get in this place. She continued to gain weight with emotional eating.
This unhealthy pattern created more physical and emotional damage.
The Solution
- Resources and location
With experience with past clients from Mexico I had a keen understanding of the options available. The different time zones was never an issue with hands on guidance at every corner.
- Type 2 diabetes
When it comes to working with people with diabetes every meal has to be put together in a sensitive manner. The wrong calculations could be the reason for severe health complications. We worked closely paying attention to her blood sugars before and after every meal until we found the perfect balance of carbs.
- Guilt and Shame leading to Emotional Eating
Zalma’s biggest struggle has been the guilt and shame. The more Zalma understood that she couldn’t change what happened yesterday and that emotional eating did nothing but magnify the problems, her hunger for the emotional eating slowly dissipated!
